AdSense Aquisition Microsite preview

AdSense Aquisition Microsite

Historicaly, the marketing and aquisition pages for the Google AdSense product have been one off pages scattered throughout Google.com. There was an effort by the Google Ads marketing team to consolidate this content into a single aquisition microsite so prospective users could get all the necessary information at one place. My role was to assist in architecting (re-organizing) this content, redesign the pages up to Ads design standards, and design the layout in a way that encourages new sign ups with greater retention.

Clean Energy Innovations preview

Clean Energy Innovations

This microsite created for Google.org is an informational site summarizing the findings of an energy innovation study by McKinsey group. Many of the findings in the study were hard to convey through just words, so I created several infographics to help illustrate the key take-aways from the study.

Google for Advertisers preview

Google for Advertisers

This microsite is intended to be an information hub for advertisers. It tells businesses how they can use various tools, such as AdWords and Analytics to improve their sales figures and earn more money. The client's creative goal was to create something that breaks out of the conservative design standards of Google so that it can appeal more to businesses that are used to more flashy creatives, while still having a design that feels Googley.

PaperDemon.com

Designing the main section landing pages for PaperDemon.com presented many challenges. The site is a user generated content community site with several different mediums of content. Organizing all of this content on the page without making the page feel cluttered was the biggest challenge. The primary objective of the homepage design is to inform members of the latest content posted. Secondary is incuraging new visitors to sign up and create an account.

Adwords Certification preview

AdWords Certification Program

The goal of this microsite is to first get web service companies to sign up to become authorized consultants in the AdWords Certification Program. Secondly, individual web professionals can also get qualified. Thirdly, those looking for a qualified professional, can also use this site to search for a partner. These three segments of the site were emphasised with the use of graphics. I also assisted the webmaster in coming up with a clear layout which achieved these three goals.

Goomoji preview

Gmail Goomoji Emoticons

I collaborated with another designer, Ryan Germick, to create this distinctly cute, consistent, and Googly emoticon set for Gmail. Since Google was getting into the emoticon game rather late, we wanted to take a different approach to these icons. We kept the palette on standard with Google and in a pixel by pixel style. I led the exploration and design of the faces set (plus crab). Ryan designed the object set (plus robot and monkey). You'll have to explore these in the Gmail interface to see them in all their animated glory.
